After winning the Observer Photographic Competition in 1980 Neill became a freelance photographer in London. He works for many prestigious blue chip clients (see Clients). Neill ran his busy Islington Studio until 1987 when he migrated to Bath. He now works for national clients and many local firms. An extensive range of Neill's images are published by Ktwo and his photos appear on calendars, posters and prints. Neill has had many mixed and one-man shows. The two most recent were 'Seed' - a one-man exhibition in The Coningsbury Gallery in 1999 - and the two-man show 'The Prints-Photographic Machiavellis' in 2000 at The Hot Bath Gallery, Bath. The Seed Images were described as a "sensation combining as they do the skills of the traditional artist with the latest in digital technology." |
