For
those that enjoy walking, the Kennet & Avon Canal
has a towpath that follows it from the locks in Widcombe
all the way to the lovely village of Bathampton and
beyond. A pleasant morning or afternoon can be spent
strolling or cycling from Widcombe to Bathampton just
in time for a meal or a drink at The George Inn. The
canal passes through Bathwick, Sydney Gardens and past
other places of interest within Bath. Bath Narrow Boats,
based at Sydney Wharf, offers day boat hire.
